Vanessa English
Jiu Jitsu Competitor & Instructor
Professor Vanessa English is a BJJ black belt under Victor Estima and representative of the Gracie Barra – Nottingham (UK) academy. In the colored belts she is a multiple times European champion, in both Gi and No-Gi, and is the first British-born Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitor to win the IBJJF World Championships. Vanessa would later cement her status as one of the sport’s top featherweight athletes, by medaling at the 2018 World Championship and winning the 2018 European Open, both at Black Belt.
Are there any meals included in the price?
Yes. Exclusive on-site Chef's, providing three meals a day, catering to all dietary needs. Throughout the day, tea, coffee (only the good stuff), and fruit will be available. Please, inform us ahead of the camp if you have any special dietary requirements, allergies, or intolerances.
Can I train outside the scheduled training sessions?
Their mat area is available anytime outside the scheduled training sessions, so you can stretch out, practice techniques, dance, or simply chill in the shade whenever you like.
How to reach the camp?
The easiest way to reach the island is by train. When planning your journey, make sure to purchase a ticket that takes you all the way to Ryde Pier Head on the Isle of Wight. What is the refund/cancellation policy for this camp?
Refunds are only available until 31st of March 2024.
What to bring with me for this camp?
Bring at least 2 sets of no-gi training gear, swimming attire along with an extra beach towel, sun protection such as sun cream, insect repellent, a torch, spare clothes, shoes suitable for walking, and a sleeping bag.

The Isle of Wight is an island to the south of the UK mainland, it has become increasingly popular as a holiday destination as more people discover the island's natural beauty.
Venue: The Secret Garden
Nestled in amongst an old oak woodland, your accommodation sits between the trees of a peaceful orchard.
Our on-site chefs amaze and delight in equal measure, with evening meals by candlelight at the communal banquet table.
In addition to the beach, which is just five minutes walk away, you have a private route to Wootton Creek where you can chill, swim, or sit around the fire pit in the moonlight.
Board games include chess, go, scrabble and there are always plenty of packs of cards to hand.
This unique venue really is the perfect spot to forge unforgettable memories.
