Erick Raposo is a distinguished Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and respected instructor. He began his martial arts journey at the age of six with judo but shifted his focus to BJJ in 1999. Under the guidance of coach Judson Borges, he honed his skills and became a competitive athlete.
Raposo earned his black belt in 2011 while competing for the Soul Fighters team, where he trained alongside notable grapplers. He has achieved significant success in various tournaments, particularly in the Masters divisions of the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF), securing titles such as the IBJJF Brasilia Open and CBJJ Brazilian Nationals.
In addition to his competitive achievements, Raposo is the founder of the Raposo BJJ Academy in Louisiana and the Inicio Jiu-Jitsu Association. His passion for teaching and commitment to developing future generations of BJJ practitioners have made him a respected figure in the martial arts community.
