Professor Rinaldo Santos is a highly respected and accomplished Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) practitioner, holding the rank of 6th Degree Black Belt. He is one of the highest-ranked Black Belts in Central Florida, with a lineage traced directly to the legendary Gracie family: Mitsuyo Maeda > Carlos Gracie Sr. > Carlson Gracie Sr.
As a teenager, Professor Rinaldo began his BJJ journey at the Carlson Gracie Academy Headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Under the tutelage of Master Carlson Gracie, the most successful Vale Tudo champion of the Gracie family, Rinaldo quickly rose through the ranks, becoming one of the youngest members of the famous Carlson Gracie Competition Team in the 1980s and 1990s.

Professor Rinaldo's passion for teaching and sharing his knowledge led him to establish the Carlson Gracie Central Florida Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Winter Garden, FL, in 2008. With over two decades of experience teaching both adults and children, he continues to teach the majority of classes at the academy, ensuring that his students receive the highest quality instruction in the combat-oriented style of Jiu-Jitsu that is the hallmark of the Carlson Gracie Team.
