Charles Harriott is an American black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and a self-proclaimed wandering instructor. Born in Boca Raton, Florida, Charles began his martial arts journey at a young age, exploring various disciplines including Tae Kwon Do, American Kenpo, Universal Martial System, and Judo before finding his passion in BJJ .At 32 years old, Charles has dedicated a significant portion of his life to the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, with 10 to 14 years of experience, depending on when he starts counting. His commitment to the sport has not only shaped his career but also his lifestyle, as he now lives "out of a backpack," technically based in Gainesville, Florida, but constantly on the move.Charles's unique approach to BJJ combines his athletic background with his academic pursuits. He studied physics at university, which likely contributes to his analytical approach to the sport. His diverse interests extend beyond the mat, as he was once the president of the University of Florida Breakdance Club and Hip Hop Collective. Interestingly, it was a knee injury from breakdancing that led him to delve deeper into BJJ .As a globetrotting BJJ instructor, Charles has participated in and taught at various camps and seminars worldwide.
